I just tried it out. Do this:
In the 7710 browser go to this page:
m.vtap.com
Select low streaming mode and the video will open and stream on realplayer. Just make sure that on the realplayer settings you have the connection you are going to use as default.
Enjoy. |

| Does anybody still get to watch videos via vTap? I can't, as Real Player only says "Error trying to connect" when I try to stream the video. The same thing happens in m.youtube.com. |

In the browser type www.youtube.com (it will be automaticaly converted to m.youtube.com).
The list of popular videos will appear (please make sure picture and flash are enabled).
Click on the watch video link. Real Player will be opened automatically and start streaming and displaying the video.
If any error is shown, please check the settings option (from tools) of real player In network, you should mention the default access point name (through which you connect to the internet).
Youtube works fine in 7710. _________________ Tridibesh |

Thanks for the reply, tridibesh. Unfortunately it still doesn't work. What connection type do you use, GPRS?
When I click on the video link in m.youtube.com, RealPlayer opens and it says "Connecting" for 1 second, and then it throws an error message saying "Connection lost, do you want to try again?". I click OK and it shows the "Connecting" massage again for 1 second and gives me the aforementioned error. It continues this loop for ever. It behaves the same way with any streaming mobile videos; I've tried 3 different services so far with different media formats (RM and 3GP), but nothing has helped. RealPlayer plays non-streaming videos perfectly, those which are on the phone memory or MMC.
My connection type is Bluetooth internet, and my Real Player settings are:
Data speed: Normal
Connection timeout: 60 seconds
Server timeout: 60 seconds
Ports: 0 - 32000
Default AP: Bt (that's Bluetooth internet)
I've tried to modify these settings from end to end, but to no avail.
I think it only works with GPRS? |

I think it works with GPRS and WWW connections (as called by the service providers). However I have never tried with bluetooth. _________________ Tridibesh |
